TRADITIONAL WAYS OF HUNTING
We provide verbatim, without comments, information collected on the topic "Traditional ways of hunting" in the village of Kachu ko in the Omsk region.:
"Hare hunting. Method N1. Take a brick and spices (usually pepper). On the hare path, they put a brick and strongly sprinkle it with pepper. The hare runs and sees an unfamiliar object, comes up to sniff, starts sneezing and hits its head on a brick. Bang! Ready.
Method N2. In winter, take out carrots from the cellar, hang them on a birch tree. A hunter with a gun and a disguise lies down nearby. Hares see a carrot, come up and start jumping after it. A hare jumps up and gets shot, then a second hare jumps up and gets shot, and so on until the hares run out.
Method N3. Armor-piercing glass is installed on the hare path. The hare runs, does not see the glass and hits it with his forehead. Bang! Ready.
Bear hunting. Take a metal rod, cut a thread on it (it is better, as on a screw, so it is screwed in faster). At the end, leave a free place for mounting (drawing attached). The rod is attached to the tree through and secured on the reverse side so that it cannot be pulled out. The threaded rod is liberally smeared with honey. The hunter sits in an ambush. A bear approaches and begins to lick the honey. As soon as the rod appears from the bear's anus, you need to run up and tighten the nut. If the bear resists, the nut should be tightened."
